On Sunday, March 21, a comprehensive health care bill, already approved by the Senate, was passed by the House. The bill will give health care to 32 million Americans and save over 30,000 lives per year. And it will regulate the insurance companies so they can no longer deny care for pre-existing conditions, charge you more if you're sick, put limits on your benefits, or increase rates with impunity.

Over 150 local business owners and families gathered in front of Aetna Insurance headquarters to protest their announcement to drop another 650,000 clients “to meet profit expectations.”  They discussed how that impacts the health of Illinois families and the Illinois economy, and publicized the release of an HCAN report, Health Insurers Break Profit Records as 2.7 Million Lose Their Insurance.
