Citizen Action/Illinois releases 2009/2010 Legislative Scorecard
Date:08/02/2010Every year, Citizen Action/Illinois examines the voting records of elected officials in the Illinois General Assembly. This Scorecard is a tool to enable concerned citizens to hold their elected officials accountable for their votes during the year. This year, Citizen Action/Illinois selected 18 votes in the House and 17 votes in the Senate of the 96th General Assembly.
The Best Kept Secret in the Southland: Community Perspectives on Oak Forest Hospital
Date:07/23/2010In June and July of 2010, Citizen Action/Illinois surveyed patients, family members, community health providers, nurses, physicians and other staff that utilized or worked with Oak Forest Hospital, part of the Cook County Health and Hospital System. Over 50 interviews were conducted with patients and family members of patients from the Ventilator and Long-Term Care units, E.R., Outpatient, Inpatient, and Rehab Services, and over 50 interviews with providers from the same services.
